In this riveting
historical epic, Neruamun, a sixteen-year-old army scribe and
recently-initiated Hekai magician is thrust into the greatest battle in history
(Battle of Armageddon, ca. 1457 B.C.).
On the eve of the supreme confrontation
between Darkness and the Light, he is privy to a devastating revelation by
Naharin spies -- Pharaoh’s army is vastly outnumbered and they’re marching into
a trap. Neruamun not only fears for his brothers and himself, but more
importantly for Pharaoh. Should the Son of Amun be killed in the ambush,
nothing stands in the way of the Enemy of the Light and the conquest of his
homeland, Kemet, the Black Land.
The charge of
thousands of Kemetian and Hatti war chariots, the clash of forty-thousand men
will anneal Neruamun’s mettle and seal the destiny of the Black People. In this
colossal struggle the young scribe and Hekai magician will come face-to-face
with the Enemy of the Light. He’ll discover the true identity of the powerful
Shadow-Dweller -- the rogue magician whose desire is to consume the Black Land
